A MUSEUM MILESTONE.
8TH DAY CREATE® begins 2026 with a selected artwork for The San Diego Museum of Art’s 100-year anniversary celebration.
Chosen as one of ten artists invited to reinterpret the museum’s iconic Balboa Park façade, Brandon Palma created a 40 × 60 inch canvas work inspired by 19th-century lithography, Old Spanish Renaissance architecture, and the historical grandeur of the 1915 San Diego Exposition.
The piece was developed over three months through meticulous photographic reference, digital tracing, vintage color study, and architectural assembly, then printed on museum-grade canvas and finished with clear varnish, an 8TH DAY CREATE® coin, and an original 1915 exposition stamp.
On view January 24 through July 26, 2026.
